Owings Mills, MD - ABIS, Inc., a leading provider
of traditional direct marketing services, makes a
focused effort to provide current industry news and resources to
clients and other relevant parties.
For this reason, ABIS would
like to make mailers within its network aware of the USPS' postage
cost
increase, effective on May 12, 2008.
It is currently established
that costs for First-Class mail, Standard Mail, Periodicals,
Package Services,
and Special Services will increase by 2.71% to 2.889% this year.
This increase is permitted to take
place annually, in accordance with the Postal Accountability
and Enhancement Act.
The USPS also notes that First-Class Mail
single-piece additional-ounce pricing has shown no sign of
change thus far, and lower costs will be implemented for additional-ounce
pricing for presorted First
Class Mail letters and pound pricing for Standard Mail saturation
and high-density rates.
You can view further information on
the upcoming postal price increases on www.usps/prices.com.
In
anticipation of these changes, ABIS has updated their online Postal
Rate charts. You can view both
the current and new postage rates (effective 5/12/08) at
www.abis.com/resources.htm - ABIS clients
will also receive a new rate grid via email for all classes
- First, Standard, and Non-Profit. Please
direct any questions that you may have to your Sales Representative
and/or your Account Manager at
410.581.7500.
